CALL FOR PAPERS (click for download)
COMPENG is a series of international workshops founded in 2010 aimed at providing a forum for experts and professionals working on the latest developments in complexity science and its application in an engineering perspective.
Previous editions of the workshop were held in Rome, Italy (2010); Aachen, Germany (2012); Barcelona, Spain (2014); Catania, Italy (2016).
The fifth Workshop on Complexity in Engineering COMPENG 2018 will take place in Florence (Italy) on October 10-12, 2018.
Authors are encouraged to submit papers on their research on complex systems and engineering considering, but not being limited to, the following topics:
- Agent-based systems
- Big Data and data-driven systems
- Bio-physics, stochastic processes and noise
- Complex Networks
- Critical Infrastructures, transportation systems, realtime management
- Dynamics in Memristor circuits
- Machine Learning
- Laser dynamics and optoelectronic systems
- Plasma control and nuclear fusion
- Control in sensor and actuator networks
- Smart grids
Venue: The Galileo Galilei Institute for Theoretical Physics, Largo Enrico Fermi 2, 50125 Firenze (ITALY)
